LYNN HARROD is a seasoned artist and writer with a background and education in filmmaking, and web and graphic design.
He established Tomato Productions in Fresno in 1998 as an independent filmmaking company, where he wrote and directed his first feature film "Behind Lily's Eyes" before relocating to Los Angeles to further pursue film. While attending Los Angeles Film School, he excelled at directing, screenwriting, and graphic design.
Lynn was the first of five students selected by his film school for the Arthur Hiller Master Directing Class, and was chosen to participate in the Pioneer 2880 inter-school short film competition.
His writing has placed multiple times in some of the most prestigious competitions in the industry, including the Nicholl Screenwriting Fellowship, the Writer's Network Screenplay Competition, the FadeIn Awards, and the finals of the Nevada Film Office Screenwriting Competition.
Between film projects, Lynn worked as a freelance web and graphic designer, creating websites, posters, logos, press kits, and videos for independent filmmakers and studios.
Lynn returned to Fresno in 2008 after the birth of his daughter, to raiser her around hometown family and friends. Upon returning to Fresno, Tomato Productions was refocused as a web and graphic design company, with filmmaking as a side project.
Last year, Lynn received the 2011 PRSA Image Award of Excellence for Best Website for his work with Reading and Beyond.
